Rainy Summers in Derry can still be fun for the family!
December 13, 2015
We would like to tell you that the sun always shines in Derry but unfortunately that's not the case!
Lucky for our guests we are in the know at Da Vinci's Hotel and can provide a list of fun things to do and places to visit in Derry when the weather is being pesky!
We can't give away all of our rainy day tips because we keep these for our guests but here is a taster of ways to keep the kids entertained with family activities in Derry this Summer!
New Foyle Arena in Derry has Kids play pool, rock climbing, sports halls and much more.
Brunswick Super Bowl is less than a 5 minute car journey from Da Vinci's Hotel and is kid heaven. It is packed with arcade games, 16 ten pin bowling, Bananas adventure area (Irelands largest indoor play centre) and 7 screen cinema all which will entertain the kids for hours on a rainy day in Derry.
Riverwatch Aquarium and Visitor Centre is a great family attraction just outside of Derry City Centre and a 10 minute drive from our hotel. The family can watch the fish swim and learn about our local wildlife. There are lobsters, crabs, starfish and other fishy friends. Admission is Free and this is the ideal place to keep the kids entertained indoors.
P.S Check out the best Family event that takes place in Derry over the Summer is Carnivals of Colour in St Columb's Park on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August 2015.
