Our Team's Tips!

My tip for any visitor to Da Vinci’s Hotel or indeed Derry is to take full advantage of the beautiful Connect Waterside Greenway pedestrian and cycle path. The pathway rinks the east and west of the city and provides easy access to some of our city’s most iconic visitor attractions. Enjoy the beautiful views of the River Foyle from both sides and walk the path as it winds its way to both the new Peace Bridge and Foyle Bridge.

My tip would be to come and experience the christmas buzz we have in Derry.
This year the Christmas Market, Ice rink and outdoor cinema will be in Ebrington Square, which will make our festive celebrations in Derry bigger than ever before. there will be something for everyone to enjoy, families, couples or for girl's like myself who like to get our shop on! Christmas is a great excuse to shop and Derry is great for shopping! Our Christmas Shopping offer at the hotel has been really popular, so I look forward to another busy festive season at DV’s.
My tip for visitors coming to our city is to come and enjoy our Halloween Carnival Celebrations. it is the biggest and best in Europe and there is something for everyone young or old. Another tip would be that you have to dress up when you are visiting Derry at Halloween. Everyone makes a big effort with their Halloween costumes, you can buy a costume from one of the many pop up fancy dress shops or be creative and make your own. I think dressing up is half the fun at Halloween. Happy Trick or Treating.
I would recommend visiting Derry for the restaurants, there are so many options at really affordable prices. In Derry we love to support our local suppliers and lots of restaurants use locally sourced produce, including Da Vinci’s.

A trip to Derry would not be complete without sampling some of the music the city has to offer. Through the year there have been operatic performances, jazz weekends and plentiful Irish Traditional sessions. With the festive season upon us the city will be alive with music from carol singers in the streets to showstopping performances in the Millennium Forum. Music is a part of the life here in Derry and it should be experienced by all who come to visit.
I have a few tips for visitors for when they are visiting our amazing, historic Maiden City: kick off your visit with the one and only Martin McCrossan and his award winning City Walking Tours. Make sure you sample our outstanding boutique shopping and finish off your day of course with the Da Vinci’s Experience, second to none... we go that extra mile for our customers!
